About Campus
The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at St. Lawrence College has been established on 2067 B.S. as a center of excellence in Computer Science, through the initiation and support of eminent personalities and intellectuals who have rich, varied and profound expertise in the field of Computer and Information Technology. St. Lawrence realizes the importance of IT management study and helps to enforce the strength of this study so as to benefit our young aspirants to become the successful IT managers/programmers in the future.
Admission Procedure
Eligibility
The candidate applying for B.Sc. CSIT program:
- Should have successfully completed a twelve year of schooling in the science stream or equivalent from any university, board or institution recognized by TU.
- Should have successfully passed the entrance examination conducted by TU securing at least 35 marks. Compiled with all the application procedures.
- Any one of these conditions:
- Should have secured a minimum of second division in their +2 or equivalent OR should have secured at least C in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12 by taking Physics and Mathematics of 100 marks.
- OR Passed A level in Science (have studied Physics and Mathematics of 100 marks) and passed at least in D Grade.
- OR Passed 3 Years Diploma in Engineering program from CTEVT taking both Physics and Mathematics.
Note: Both Biology and Mathematics group of students of +2 level are eligible to apply for the course.
Admission Criteria
- TUIOST opens the entrance form at the month of Bhadra*.
- Candidate should create an account on TUIOST Entrance portal and fill and verify the form with proper required documents and paying the entrance fee.
- After the form is verified, student can download the admit card from the same portal.
- A candidate should appear in the entrance exam and secure atleast the minimum marks of 35 to be eligible for admission.
- After the entrance result is published (generally within few days), candidate should fill and submit the college priority form on the same portal with the college list of their choice.
- TUIOST then publishes the merit list of the students based on their entrance marks and college priority.
- The student should then visit the assigned college and complete the admission process.
