The difference between VR and Real World is Real Word VR The system augments the real-world scene Completely immersive virtual environment In AR User always have a sense of presence in the real world In VR, visual senses are under control of the system This technology partially immerses the user into the action This technology fully immerses the user into the action No headset is needed. Some VR headset device is needed. End-users are still in touch with the real world while interacting with virtual objects nearer to them. By using VR technology, VR user is isolated from the real world and immerses himself in a completely fictional world. It is used to enhance both real and virtual worlds. It is used to enhance fictional reality for the gaming world. Basically, There are six VR components. They are Internal Components: Virtual world Graphics Engine Simulation Engine User interface External Components: User inputs User outputs Virtual world: A scene database containing the geometric representations and attributes for all objects within the environment. Graphics Engine: Responsible for actually generating the image or scene, which a viewer will see. Usually the scene database and the viewer’s current position and orientation is taken into account. It also includes other information from the scene database e.g. sound, special effects textures etc. Simulation Engine: Does most of the work required to maintain virtual environment. Concerned purely with the dynamics of the environment How it changes over time How it responds to the user’s actions This includes handling interactions, physical simulations (gravity, inertia) User interface: Controls how the user navigates and interacts with this virtual environment.
